Thanking him for a letter and noting that she is very glad to hear that he can walk about again. Discussing her stay in Windermere, mentioning a family of pigs and other animals. Recounting a ferry trip across the lake to visit Cousin Edith and her son, describing a frightened donkey. Mentioning that her rabbit has grown fat and that she takes him for walks "with a collar for fear he should run away."
